This is a project that I had been planning in my head for a long time. The first sample that I did ended up being a head band (which I absolutely love as well) because I casted on too small amount of stitches to it. That turned out to be a blessing, because without that I would never had thought of doing it also as a head band. But because of that, the headband was created first and then I re-made the hat with the right amount of stitches.
So here it finally is, ladies! Coco Turban as a hat pattern!
I'm really mad about this Coco series, it's my own absolute favourite so far. I'm thinking of knitting it also in other colors, and I'm sure you will love it as much, too! I love how it saves my bad hair days bringing some serious glamour to them, but also I love how stylish it looks with my vintage curls. A true winner in the Miss Knitted Hat of the Universe category!

Eikö tämä Coco hattu olekin aivan ihana!?!? Se on erittäin imarteleva kaikille kasvojen muodoille. Se ei pelkästään lämmitä ihanasti, vaan myös nostaa tyylisi aivan uudelle tasolle!
Työstin tätä hattua ensin päässäni kuukausia ennen kuin sain aloitettua kutomaan sitä. Ensimmäiseen versioon arvioin kuitenkin silmukkojen määrän väärin, ja siitä tulikin panta (mikä ei haitannut yhtään, koska sekin on aivan ihana). Sitten tein uuden version ja löysin oikean silmukkamäärän. Huomasin myös sitä työstäessäni, että pannan kaavaa pitää hieman muuttaa, koska hatussa turbaaniosa toimii inasen eri lailla.
Hattu valmistui, ja tässä se nyt on: Coco turbaanihattu!
Olen aivan hulluna tähän Coco asustesarjaan, jonka olen luonut ja ne on minulla kovassa käytössä. Hattu pelastaa huonon hiuspäivän ja on ihan täydellinen pari vintage-kiharoille. Olen päättänyt antaa sille voiton koko Universumin Miss Pipo -kisassa, joska se on vain niin kaunis!
